Production, scenes and comments
Production mode puts a small compositor between your encoder and your destinations. It adds overlays and audio controls once, and every destination receives the result. Solo plan and up.
Production mode re-encodes the program once (with your Mac’s hardware encoder), so it uses more CPU than pass-through and briefly reconnects destinations when you switch it on or off.
Turn it on
Settings → Production: switch it on, choose 1080p or 720p output, and optionally add a logo (a PNG with transparency works best).
On the main screen
- Lower third: type a name and title, press Show or Hide.
- Banner: a line of text at the bottom, for example a giving link.
- Announcement ticker: a coloured bar with a message that scrolls across the screen, like a news ticker. Type the text and press Show. The sliders button next to it sets the speed, text size, text and bar colours, transparency and whether it sits at the top or bottom, and every change takes effect on the stream instantly.
- Countdown: a “Starting in 05:00” timer at the top.
- Volume and Mute, with a limiter that keeps peaks from clipping.
Showing and hiding is instant and never interrupts the stream.
Scenes (Studio)
Set up a combination of overlays, then press Save current as scene. Click a scene to apply it, Shift-click to delete. Scenes can also be triggered from a Stream Deck.
Comments on screen (Studio)
With an account connected, chat from YouTube, Facebook and Twitch appears in the Chat tab. Hover a message and press Show on screen to display it as a comment card; press Hide comment to remove it.
